Vermont PBS is seeking a highly motivated individual to maintain our mountaintop transmission facilities and provide engineering support at our studio location and includes UHF/VHF transmitters and digital signal distribution & processing.  Primary duties include installation, maintenance, and diagnosis of transmitters, digital transmission and signal processing systems. Successful candidate will possess a comprehensive working knowledge of UHF/VHF transmitters, microwave transmission systems, fiber distribution networks, and associated ancillary equipment.  This is a bargaining unit position with work schedules that are variable with overtime and on call required as necessary.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have at least three years of experience maintaining high powered transmitters and associated equipment. Ability to work alone with minimum supervision, and ability to operate four-wheel drive vehicles and snowmobiles is required. Position requires travel, a clean driving record, and working in inclement weather conditions.
